A study room is an important part of every home with children, a space where they can silently go and study without distraction from the outside world.  The setup space needs to be pleasing and calm so that children will not be distracted when learning or doing homework. Keep Study Room Away from Living Room

When you are setting up a study room, it’s always better to keep it away from the living room as it is where most people set up their tv units, noises from the tv will be a great distraction for students. Another reason is that if there are visitors, they will probably spend time in the living room, which will also be a distraction to their studies.

Choosing Color And Themes

The right color and theme for the study room can help children to spend more time there. It is always advisable to give power to children when selecting colors and themes, ask them about their favorite colors, and incorporate that into the room. When choosing themes, bring in their favorite cartoon characters or movie characters or style to the room, which will make them inspired and motivated. It could also help with developing imagination. 

Selecting Furniture and Decor

It is common for design professionals to overfill study rooms with furniture and decor, which turns out to be a great mistake because there is no room for children to breathe. Furniture and decor should be kept to a minimum, as they can cause distraction from studies for students.  Go for a minimum of two chairs with a table and a shelf to store books and other materials is all needed. Choosing the right lighting for a study room is also important since improper lighting can strain a child’s eyes. Make sure the room has large windows so that natural light can easily enter.  Above the study table, add LED lights to provide a maximum beam of light while reading or studying. Use table lamps if necessary as they can be used for functionality and also to bring beauty. You can use wallpaper or paint in bold invigorating colors. Workplaces are perfectly suited to whites, pale yellows, and neutral shades. After a long day at school, bright and contrasting colors stimulate creativity and imagination.
